Thin Lizzy - Vagabonds of the Western World (1973 IRE)

Vagabonds Of The Western World é o terceiro álbum da banda irlandesa Thin Lizzy, lançado em 21 de setembro de 1973. Foi o último álbum da banda com o guitarrista Eric Bell e a primeira capa desenhada por Jim Fitzpatrick, cujo trabalho aparecerá em muitos álbuns posteriores de a banda. Depois de alcançar um hit Top Ten com uma versão rock da tradicional balada irlandesa "Whiskey in the Jar", Thin Lizzy começou a trabalhar neste álbum, o terceiro e último pela Decca Records. O sucesso surpreendente do single deu à banda poder de negociação para exigir mais dinheiro e tempo para gravar, o que fica evidente com a melhoria do som em relação aos dois trabalhos anteriores.

Ele descreve "Little Girl In Bloom" como "absolutamente impecável", mas critica "The Hero and The Madman" e "Slow Blues" como "exagerados" e "mornos", respectivamente. Pete Pardo do Sea of ​​​​Tranquility afirmou que Vagabonds of the Western World estava "cheio de blues-rock, peças com toques de folk/psicadelia e faixas sombrias, temperamentais e atmosféricas entre rock e jazz com clara influência de um novo som". Ele também elogiou o material adicional da versão remasterizada, como a versão "vermelha" de "Suicide". O LP original continha 8 músicas. A primeira edição de 1990 (japonês) em CD mantém essas 8 músicas e no ano seguinte surge uma edição com 4 bônus, que inclui os dois singles anteriores ao LP. Este formato é o que se manteve nas múltiplas reedições do CD, exceto na Edição Deluxe de 2010, com 2 CDs.
