Glasgow, Escócia. Representantes da tradição UK82, o Distorted Truth formou-se na segunda metade da década de 1980. A banda era um trio típico: Alshy cantava e tocava guitarra, Davy tocava baixo e Kev tocava bateria. Em 1989, o Distorted Truth apresentou ao público punk seu EP de estreia, "Victim of the Law". O álbum foi lançado pela gravadora punk de Aberdeen, Green Vomit Records, que também havia lançado discos de bandas como Oi Polloi e Toxik Ephex. Em outubro de 1989, gravaram seu álbum de estreia, "Smashed Hits", lançado pela lendária Link Records. Após gravar mais um álbum, "Counterfeit Culture", a banda se separou, mas retornou à cena em 1999 com o lançamento da coletânea retrospectiva "Street Punk Rules!".
