Lançado em 10 de outubro de 1969, "In the Court of the Crimson King" (An Observation by King Crimson) é o primeiro álbum de estúdio da banda inglesa KING CRIMSON, pela Island Records. Esse álbum é um dos primeiros e mais influentes do gênero Rock Progressivo, onde a banda combinou as influências musicais nas quais o Rock foi fundado com elementos de Jazz, Música Clássica e Sinfônica.

Alcançou o quinto lugar na UK Albums Chart e o número 28 na Billboard 200 dos EUA, onde foi certificado Ouro pela Recording Industry Association of America.
