O segundo álbum de Carly Simon a viu expandir a persona corajosa que havia estabelecido em seu álbum de estreia, notadamente na faixa-título e em “Legend in Your Own Time” (ambas singles de sucesso), e em “I've Got to Have You”. Esta última, em especial, sugeria uma pessoa francamente apaixonada, cuja vulnerabilidade era uma fonte de força, não de fraqueza, uma característica feminista valiosa e que Simon exploraria em seus trabalhos posteriores.
